Fall 2017 - Student Work

For their final drawing for the fall session of Location Drawing at CCSF, these three students all concentrated on similar views of SF's famous "Painted Ladies." All of their drawings are very strong but you can see how their approaches and styles differed in interesting ways. This was Grace's first drawing class, but she really nailed it with her final project. This delicate drawing of the painted ladies shows a real attention to detail and accuracy while also showing a sensitivity and attention to line quality. *** Jennifer's drawing focuses on the fountain in front of the painted ladies. Her drawing shows great attention to architectural detail. The right side of the drawing looks unfinished because she had plans to crop it on that side. Kimberly's drawings shows a highly detailed rendering with a unique light and lively line quality.
